Manuscript Submission Guidelines

The Charmo Journal of Natural Sciences and Technologies (CJNST) invites submissions of original research articles, reviews, and letters to the editor. Before starting your submission, please ensure your manuscript is prepared according to our guidelines and complies with ethical and formatting requirements. CJNST follows a double-blind peer review process and typically issues a first decision within 3–5 weeks.

Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English. Authors should use the official CJNST manuscript template and submit a completed cover letter. All required declarations — including conflict of interest, funding, AI use — must be included before the reference list.

Authors can submit manuscripts through the CJNST Online Submission System after registering for an account. Submissions must include the manuscript file, cover letter, and any supplementary materials (e.g., figures, tables, appendices). Acceptable formats include .docx, and .pdf.

Submission Checklist

ü  Manuscript follows the CJNST formatting template

ü  All ethical declarations are included (see below)

ü  Cover letter is completed and attached

ü  Files are clearly labeled and in acceptable formats (.docx, an .pdf.)

Submission Steps

1. Manuscript Preparation

Prepare your manuscript using the official CJNST template and ensure it is written in clear academic English. Submissions not following the template may be returned before review.

2. Cover Letter

Use the CJNST cover letter template to summarize the purpose, originality, and relevance of your work. Confirm that the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

3. Register and Log In

Register on the CJNST online submission portal. After email verification, log in to access your dashboard.

4. Start a New Submission

Click 'New Submission' from your dashboard to begin the process.

5. Enter Manuscript Details

Fill in the manuscript title, abstract, keywords, subject classification, and complete author information. Indicate the corresponding author.

6. Upload Files

Upload the manuscript, cover letter, and any additional files (e.g., figures, tables, appendices). Clearly name all files.

7. Include Declarations

Add a section before the reference list containing the following declarations:

• Conflict of Interest Statement:

Example:

The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper.

Author [Name] has received [funding/consulting fees/honoraria] from [Organization], which may be perceived as a potential conflict of interest.

• Funding Statement:

Example:

This research was funded by [Name of Funding Agency], under grant number [XXXXXX].
– OR –
The authors received no specific funding for this work.

• Ethical Approval (if applicable):

Example:

This study was approved by the [Name of Ethics Committee/Institutional Review Board], under approval number [XXXX]. All procedures performed were in accordance with the ethical standards of the institutional and/or national research committee and with the 1964 Helsinki declaration and its later amendments.

Ethical approval was not required for this study.

• Declaration of AI Use (tool name, version, purpose)

Example:

During the preparation of this manuscript, the authors used [Tool name, e.g., ChatGPT, version XX] for [e.g., language editing / generating figures / data analysis]. After using this tool, the authors reviewed and edited the content as needed and take full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the final version.

No AI-assisted technologies were used in the preparation of this manuscript.

8. Final Review and Submission

Double-check all uploaded files and entered details, then submit. A confirmation email will be sent.

9. Track Your Submission

Log in at any time to check your submission status, respond to editorial comments, or upload revisions.
